The story behind the name is essentially the story behind the inspiration to start a Home Inspection service that offers an additional in-depth inspection of the HVAC system and equipment. As an HVAC technician I noticed a trend in the number of new homeowners who were shocked to find that the heating and cooling equipment they had acquired with the new home had failed them as recently as a few years after they purchased the home. Often costing them additional thousands of dollars that could have been avoided or negotiated for at the time of the purchase. HVAC equipment failure can cost a new homeowner over 10K to replace and that cost is trending upward. After doing some quick research I realized that home inspectors aren’t trained to diagnose equipment like I had been and are not required to do an in-depth examination of the equipment. In response I began my journey into home inspection to offer both the detailed and professional home inspection you would get from the big guys with an option for a thorough investigation of the home’s most complex and costly appliance. I’m certified and licensed by the State of Tennessee as an HVAC/R Technician and a Home Inspector, and I’m here to use my knowledge to give you the details you need to make the decision of a lifetime.
